"Say No To Racism and Speak" 1st workshop

About The Event: 

The event was an introductory event to the historical aspects of racism and discrimination against different cultures and backgrounds. It introduced basic definitions that are crucial to any conversation in this domain and present lessons from previous experiences.

 

Guest Speaker: 

Hassam Munir is a renowned speaker from Toronto. He is a history researcher and public educator. He has pursued an MA in History at the University of Toronto, has led educational sessions and tours in Canada, the US, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. He has previously worked with the Ontario Historical Society, and was recognized as an Emerging Historian at the 2017 Heritage Toronto Awards. He is also a part of the marketing team at the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research.
